#1 Other Side Effect...The Goodbye Tour

"I HAVE to eat this because tomorrow/next week/next month I will NEVER get to have this again." Let the binging begin.

This Other Side Effect (OSE) of Being Fluffy hits when you think about/plan on going on a diet. You just know that you are going to be so awesomely excellent at this diet thing because this time you are committed/sick to death of being overweight. And since you are going to be so very perfect on this diet, you had better have that ice cream/chocolate/fried food/whatever you love and know you will never get to eat again because it is soooooooooooo bad for you but soooooooooo yummy that you will never let pass your lips again. You have to say goodbye. Closure is good for you, right?

Plus, if you bump up your caloric intake before you start the diet to end all diets, then the difference between what you were eating and what you will be eating will be that much more dramatic, which can only mean that you will get a bigger weight loss bang for your diet buck.

I am currently experiencing the Goodbye Tour OSE. Fortunately, Easter is now over so I can no longer get my crack du jour, Cadbury's Mini Eggs. Those being gone will likely increase my will to diet.

OSE happen in no particular order.  They are wiley little suckers and while they are numbered here under some crazy notion that they can be corralled, we all know that the number 1 OSE is whatever what you are dealing with at the moment.
